A Discovery interior detail in Fair Oaks.
For this job in Fair Oaks, California, I cleaned the interior of a Land Rover Discovery for a man who looked to be around thirty. The vehicle had a black leather cabin, with dark trim and silver details around the dashboard and center console.
What stands out to me about this interior is how much there is to notice beyond the seats. The steering wheel, dashboard, vents, and center controls all sit close together, while the rear seating gives the cabin a different sense of space. I wanted the photos to show both views of the vehicle.
Black leather has its own character.
Dark upholstery can look simple from a distance. Up close, you see the grain, stitching, perforated sections, and the creases that come with use. The photos of this Discovery show those details rather than hiding them.
Cleaning and restoring leather are different jobs. An interior can be cleaned and still show existing wear. That is part of presenting a used vehicle honestly: the goal is to care for the cabin, without suggesting that every crease or worn area has disappeared.
